Reuther Mold started designing and manufacturing molds for the transportation industry primarily using rubber compounds from the beginning in 1950. Originally our claim to fame was designing and manufacturing the most molds in the world for controlled ventilation window seal. Since that time molds for those parts have gone the way of the buggy whip manufacturers – no more. We have expanded our offerings designing and manufacturing molds for automotive bushings voided and solid bonded to metal and just rubber. We have designed and manufactured molds for engine mounts, transmissions mounts and any other automotive mount you need. Our metal shut-off is the best you will find in the business. We also design and manufacture molds for engine and transmissions gaskets, air ducts, and run-flat tire inserts. We have produced molds in any variation you have seen injection, injection transfer, transfer, and compression molds used with any type of black rubber compound. We have also produced molds for silicone and TPE/TPR compounds.

Our rubber molds can be designed with a cold runner that is one of the best in the industry. With its solid block design, and other proprietary features, the Reuther Cold Runner performance is far superior to practically any cold runner with which you are familiar. Our cold runners have had up to 32 drops. The design can be for single or multi deck molds to allow for greater utilization of your presses. They can also incorporate shuttle systems and metal preheat stations.

Whether the transportation molds you need are small single cavity prototypes or multi-cavity production molds we have the experience. Our largest molds weigh in excess of 20 tons. We have the expertise to provide all the associated tooling: loading boards, knock-out boards, and shuttle systems. Some of the molds we have produced require hydraulic cylinders and proximity switches which can be hard wired to the injection press to prevent premature mold closures.
